The crystal clear waters along the
Costa Blanca make it perfect for both snorkelling and diving.
Moraira
has many rocky coves and inlets which are ideal for snorkelling - for
anyone wishing to learn to scuba there are some excellent dive schools
in the area, the nearest being in Moraira called the
Mermaid Dive Club
which is a PADI Gold Palm IDC Centre. They offer everything from a try
dive for the inexperienced individual to instructor courses for those
wishing to make a career in diving. They also offer experienced guides
to all dive sites in the area.

Moraig Beach at
Cumbre has the entrance to both the
Cueva de los arcos and the
Moraig cave
system. Cueva de los arcos is a dive which takes you through a
horizontal tunnel to an open aired sunlit grotto, where salt water meets
freshwater and the 'halocine' effect can be experienced. The
Caves de Moraig explore an underground river that ends up in the sea - these
dives are an absolute must for divers visiting the area, however a
skilful guide is strongly recommended. See
www.costablancascuba.com for more info. |
